Pure Potential

Yes, I know, I vanished for a month! But I had a very, very good reason. :) Meet my new nephew: Spencer William Larsen!

This cutie was born on February 25th. He was six weeks early, so he spent some time in the NICU, but he's now home and he and his mom (my sister) are doing great. :) We're very excited! I was in Utah for almost four weeks, preparing for the baby and spending lots of time at the hospital. I think the whole fiasco cured my fear of hospitals, at least mostly, which is good! :) It was a time full of patience, family, and tons of joy.

I've definitely developed a greater love for babies and motherhood, as well as the magic that is life itself. Today's Saint Patrick's Day, which means that there's a lot of green. And in my head, green represents life. Beautiful, thriving, glowing life. It's a great thing to celebrate. :)

I can't wait to see little Spencer progress and keep growing. He's already so strong. I think we've all had a tiny taste of how Heavenly Father must feel, when He sees the pure potential in one of His children. I see that in Spencer, and it's magnificent. :) As always, I look forward to the day when I'll have children of my own. I have no doubt that being a mother will be the greatest thing I'll ever do.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in and give you all some updates. :) Come April, I'm guessing you'll be grateful that you had a month without my rambling, because I plan on participating in the A-Z Challenge for my fourth year in a row. It's a whole lot of madness!!

I love you all!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day. :)
