Embark!

This last weekend, I had the incredible blessing of going to Youth Conference, and participating in a pageant. It was about the history of our area, up here in Northern Idaho, and it was awesome.

Only hours before the pageant, I also had another amazing opportunity: I met Jasen Wade, who played Levi Savage in 17 Miracles. In other words, I met a Mormon movie star. ;) And he was so humble and kind and good.

On Saturday morning, we watched 17 Miracles with him in the room, and then he spoke to us. His message revolved around the making of the movie, his spiritual experiences, and how important it is to have a sure foundation. He told us that we live in a world where everyone wants to define us, so we need to know who we are. We need to know. He couldn't be more correct.

When we had testimony meeting, I expressed my feelings with more sincerity than I have in a long time. I truly do believe that this Church is true, and I love it with all of my heart. After experiences like this, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. Spending time away from the world, and just focusing on the gospel, is one of the greatest gifts we can ever be given. I'm so grateful for the programs in the Church, especially those for the youth. I don't know where I'd be without them. I love the gospel, and I love the Church and the people in it. I'm insanely honored and grateful to be among them.

So from the bottom of my heart, I say, I'm a Mormon. And that brings me more joy than I could ever express.

This is a video of our stake singing Embark! It sadly isn't the whole thing, but I hope you feel the Spirit anyway. I sure did.
