Over the last while, I've realized that I'm afraid of change. Lots of changes in my life have been hard, but they've been good too - and I'm sure the same can be said for all of us. Change is a natural thing. The earth changes. The universe changes. People grow, plants live and die, the sky changes colors, and the moon goes from full to a sliver and then to full again. God knows what's best for us, and when change happens, it's for a reason. But how often do we see it that way?
Maybe I've felt like a rebel lately, and my new red hair has thrown me off kilter, but it makes me wonder. So many things in life make me wonder. Why are we afraid of change?
To stay constant isn't progress. We must all rise and fall, live and learn, if we ever hope to become who we want to be. Who we need to be. I wonder if caterpillars ever watch metamorphosis and fear change. The beautiful butterflies would surely tell them it's worth it, but would they believe them?
We all have to go through, in a sense, metamorphosis. The tunnel can be dark, but the goal isn't to stay in the tunnel. The goal is to get to the other side, and then see the tunnel for all it's given you, good and bad. Because there's a reason for all of it. We mustn't ever forget that. There's a reason. When we ask why, we may not get answered, but that doesn't mean the answer isn't there.
Stride forward, my friends. Don't stand still. Don't move backwards. You have a dream. You have goals. Somewhere deep inside, there's someone you want to be; something you want to achieve. And to you, and to God, there is a purpose behind it. Don't forget that purpose. Don't forget that reason. And if you're not sure of the reason, of the why, pray. Pray always. Turn to Him who loves you beyond measure, unconditionally, for all eternity.
I love you, too. Those three words should be said to all, and often. God loves all of His children, and it's a great goal to find that same love in yourself for all men. I strive for that every day.
God bless :) <3
