A-Z Reflections 2014
When I realized it was April, I knew I was forgetting something ... something I'd done in the years before. I realized that it was time for the A-Z Challenge, and that if I didn't make myself do it, I'd regret it. I was right. :)
There's something simply amazing about participating in the blogging world - especially in communities like this. I was in awe of all of the wonderful views and comments that came my way, and I met some fantastic people. (Shout outs to Grammy Staffy, Chris, Teresa, Tina, S.K. Anthony, and so many others!) Especially with religious posts, I expected a critical remark or two, but I didn't get any. Your support was amazing. Thank you for that. <3 All of you.
This was my third time doing the A-Z, and it was definitely the best. Everyone grows as they write, and it's great to see - especially over the years. I know I cringe when looking back at my old posts. :) But that's what reflections are all about: seeing how we've changed, and how we can do better.
I don't have any major complaints about the challenge itself. It is a challenge when blogger profiles are hooked in to Google+, because it's hard to find their blogs, and I always want to re-visit. But as far as I know, mine may be hooked into Google+ as well, and I have no idea how to change that. So. Call me a hypocrite if that's the case! But a hand of applause for all bloggers who link to their blogs in their comments. It's so helpful.
Really, all I can say to the team of A-Z is thank you. Thank you for all that you do, and for giving all of us crazy people a place on the web to gather. A-Z is a family of such diversity. I love it. And unless something else comes up, you'll definitely see me again next year for #4!
I also intend to participate in the Post A-to-Z Road Trip, and visit as many blogs as possible. :) After all, you guys are the best!

I didn't realize until now that mine was linked to G+ as well, but now I know to leave a link in the comments as well. Sigh. Live and learn.
ReplyDeleteThis was my first challenge and I enjoyed it a lot. I was overwhelmed at times because I couldn't make it to comment as much as I wanted to. Looking back 20-40 blogs a day wasn't too bad. Still, I wish I'd met more bloggers during the challenge. Good thing is I can go back now and click on their links. It was great to find your blog and become a follower! :D
Thank you so much for your kind support, very much appreciated, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteLol, my old posts are embarrassing too! I've deleted a whole bunch of them they were so bad. G+ blogs are a little harder to find, it's like adding an extra step to hunt for their blog. Not very convenient :/
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out! I'm happy to follow & comment, and I'm glad you didn't get any critical comments about your faith. I'm barely a Christian so I didn't know a thing about Mormonism but I would never discourage anyone for sharing their faith or writing about things that matter to them. Don't worry about what others thing, write what you want!
See you next April -- and much sooner than that :)
Congratulations on completing the challenge.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the sense of community in the challenge. I love the sense of everyone coming together and sharing in something mad and fun. :-)
