In A Moment

"Fly" - Hilary Duff <3
In a moment, everything can change,
Feel the wind on your shoulder,
For a minute, all the world can wait,
Let go of your yesterday.

Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longing?
And take control,

Fly
Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.

All your worries, leave them somewhere else,
Find a dream you can follow,
Reach for something, when there's nothing left,
And the world's feeling hollow.

Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longing?
And take control,

Fly
Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.

And when you're down and feel alone,
Just want to run away,
Trust yourself and don't give up,
You know you better than anyone else,

In a moment, everything can change,
Feel the wind on your shoulder,
For a minute, all the world can wait,
Let go of yesterday,

Fly
Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try,
Fly
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.

In a moment, everything can change.

It's true - how different things can be in only a moment. Every day, something in me changes. I can feel it. I can see it in my writing as I grow and learn. My over-journaling keeps it all freakishly documented :) Since before I can remember, I've had life-changing moments. Far too many to count or detail. But I feel like I've experienced a lot more than usual in the past couple months.

Some have been happy, some have been heart-breaking, and some have been ... well, very humbling. That's all part of the process. Part of life. I always come away with a new perspective - and knowledge about myself I didn't have before. It's scary, but it's awesome.

It's natural to pray for things to change. We all have hopes and dreams that we're not quite reaching. But a thought came to me today: We can control more than we think.

Earlier, I was feeling angry and lonely and I was hating every part of it. Something just didn't feel right. And then, I remembered something they always say - it's only a wish until you write it down. There's something about putting pen to paper that solidifies a thought. Makes it real. Shows you're serious. So wanting all of the bad feelings gone, I wrote: I am ready to be done.

There was something about it. I added: Tomorrow is a new day. And I meant it. We're all in a life that's full of challenges. That's how it's supposed to be. But it's up to us to make the best of it. It's up to us ... to create our personal Happily Ever After. Of course, God is with us every step of the way. Prayer is vital. But until we let Him in, we're in trouble.

Let Him in. Let this be your moment. Embrace the changes that you need to grow.
Fly. :) <3
I love you all! Make it a great day.
