10 Things I Learned at LTUE

  1. After walking from L14 to the Sorensen Center for three days straight, I now know that I really need more exercise.
  2. Authors are the friendliest people in this universe. :)
  3. It is possible to sound like anything, if you try (credit to the fabulous Mary Robinette Kowal).
  4. Vampires are not your boyfriends - (yes, for the record, I hate Twilight) - they actually live in pianos and lose their teeth. ;) (Jess Smiley)
  5. The gossip club of our lives is living within every computer - they call it 'Word of internet mouth.' Haha
  6. Traditional publishing is a dinosaur. ;) (Tracy Hickman)
  7. 'Stalk and steal' - is not only acceptable among writers, it's widely encouraged.
  8. When trapped in an unwelcome conversation, it is always appropriate to lie.
  9. 'Remember the wonder.'
  10. I never want to read a book about giant weasels (apology accepted, to whom it may concern).

    2. Hee hee. I loved your comments about vampires (I attended Jess Smiley's presentation, too). Have you ever heard the song "I Hate Vampires Who Sparkle?" If not, look it up on YouTube.

    3. I need more exercise, too.
The lying one made me laugh. "If they have broken the rules of polite conversation than you can too."

It was great to meet you, Bonnie :)

    4. Ooh, I will have to look that up, because I do hate vampires who sparkle. Haha And Shelly, that entire class was hilarious. Mary and Sandra really got that ball rolling. :) Great to meet you, too!

      1. Yes, it was! My first time, so I couldn't compare it to any others, but I'm definitely going again.
