The Night Owl

When it comes to sleep, I'm the one who realizes it's one in the morning and thinks, "Man, don't you ever learn?" The answer is always the same: no. Haha I tell myself that whatever work I'm doing is worth it, and then I keep pressing along. The next morning, it's pretty likely I'll wake up on the wrong side of the bed. But hey, at least the weekend's coming soon, right?
Now that I've admitted to my weakness, let me tell you what hilarious project kept me up last night. I'm staying at my sisters for a few days, (Goodness knows I needed to get out of the house.) and Jessi (or as you know her, my partner in writing Winkler) came up with something for us to work on. She wrote a parody to the song, I Write the Songs, and she wanted me to try singing it. Little did I know that, hours later, we'd come out with ten too many video recordings of me singing it for her camera.
I haven't mentioned it much before, but writing isn't the only passion I have. I love music as well, and let me tell you - even though I was exhausted - I had an amazing time. We both did. :)
I was hoping I could put the video on YouTube for you all to see, but the file size was giant. Not sure what to do about that!

  1. Sounds like you had fun. That's always good. Just don't get sick like I did from running on too few zzzzs

    1. Aye, I've been lucky so far. Hopefully I can make up for it tonight. :)

  2. Sounds like a blast. When I was a teenager, some of my friends and I would get together to sing and play guitars, etc. Wrote quite a few songs, too. Maybe if you just select the version of the song you like best and post it by itself, the file would be a lot easier to work with. (says the old lady who hasn't a clue how to post to Youtube ...)
