Conference

C is for Conference

Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I almost forgot to post today. :D This last weekend, my church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, AKA Mormons) held our semi-annual General Conference in Salt Lake City, UT. General Conference is two days (plus one meeting a week before) of incredible meetings that are broadcasted all over the world. In those meetings, we are blessed to be taught by modern day prophets and other leaders, who I testify are called of God. You can watch and read all of the talks here.

This is our prophet, Thomas S. Monson. His talks have grown shorter as he's aged, but they've grown more profound! I invite you to listen to this talk from the Sunday morning session. He expressed great thoughts on the importance of making good choices. Decisions determine destiny.

I was able to attend the Sunday morning meeting with my boyfriend, Ryan, and we loved it so much! The Spirit was so strong there. It's an unreal feeling to be in a room with so many amazing, powerful, righteous people.

The Conference Center seats 21,000 and it was completely full, as far as I could tell. Many hopeful saints waited outside in standby lines, hoping to make it inside. We were given tickets for singing outside Temple Square before the session, which was honestly such a blessing in of itself. :)

I love General Conference. I love my Church and the leaders who have been called of God to lead it. I love my God. And I love all of you! I'm grateful to have had such an incredible weekend. :) Happy A-Zing!
