S is for Sabbath

Today is my favorite day of the week: His Day. This is the day where I set aside everything worldly - work, stresses, fears - and give my full attention to Him, and to the people around me. I love the Sabbath! I love waking up and knowing that no matter what's going on, I'll be okay today, because it's His Day. I'll worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. I love going to church and worshiping Him and being with good people. I love renewing my covenants with Him and being able to learn more about His life and His teachings. I love spending time with my family.

Honor today, my friends. Keep it sacred. Keep it holy. God has given us six days to work. And while we should always remember Him and serve Him, He's only asked for one day that's completely His. He has done and given everything for us. We can give Him this. And there is such joy to be found in doing so!

I've experienced again and again the miracles that come from keeping the Sabbath. I've self-published three novels, and none of those words were written on the Sabbath. I know that's why they've been so guided. I make an effort to set things aside until Monday, and no matter how big they are, I'm always glad. The sacrifice always comes back as a blessing. Always.
