B is for Balance

B is for Balance
 In All Things

In every part of life, there is opposition. There are times of great joy, and times of great sorrow; times of bliss, and times of trial. That's what this life's all about. It's a learning experience.

For me, finding the balance has always been difficult. I'll be excited to move forward and accomplish something great. And then, I'll hit that rut in the road, where things will quickly change. It's like a wave, rolling back and forth without really stopping. That's not a good thing.

In my vocabulary, another word for balance is peace. If you can find that place in between - where you're really okay with yourself - and stick with it, you've achieved something great. So, you may ask, how do we do this?

One step at a time. One day at a time. It takes faith, and a lot of prioritizing. When you wake up in morning, give yourself a moment to ponder and grow on a spiritual level. Give any stress to God, and relax - if only for a brief amount of time.

Once you've done this, go about the things that need done and complete them. It may seem difficult, but the satisfaction is far better than the weight of an unfinished task. Of course, again, you must keep balance. If you push yourself, you'll only get discouraged. I say this from experience.

Find at least one thing every day that will help you feel the spirit - whether it be singing a hymn, praying in depth, or - if you're Mormon - going to the temple, etc. These things, along with daily scripture study, will help uplift you greatly.

If you have God in your life, and you focus on His love every day, things change. There is nothing like faith to keep you going.

  1. Interesting. I can certainly appreciate how balance in all things is important.

I am going to come back here often. See what you have to say.

    1. It is difficult. As I said, it's always been a harder point for me. But! Baby steps. :) And no problem! Thanks to you, as well. :)

  3. Balance = Peace, So true!! And not an easy thing to do either. I struggle constantly with balancing all the areas of my life, and very rarely do I feel like I'm doing it well.

Excellent B word. Welcome to the Challenge!

  4. Finding a good balance is always a huge challenge for me. I just need to prioritize what I need done and take it from there. But recently I've learned more and I need to re-evaluate how much time needs to go into what and how to control my mental sanity to avoid overload. Ugh...
