God's Plan

G is for God's Plan

We flew out of Salt Lake City this morning! I'm exhausted, and I still can't believe it's only the afternoon. I loved our trip! Family, friends, General Conference, tons of movie watching, my super adorable baby nephew, and of course flying! I love flying. I'm so incredibly lucky that my sister works for Delta. Otherwise, I likely wouldn't get to fly at all! Counting blessings. :)

Last night was pretty rocky. I went to bed early, but I stayed up pondering and listening to music. I kept wondering how I got to where I am in life. Because let me tell you, it's not what I expected it to be. When I was a kid, I had a lot of crazy dreams. But you know what? Despite my trials, and despite every frustration and heartbreak and disappointment, it's been better.

Lots of times, we focus on what we want, and forget that what God wants is far wiser. He knows more about us than we do. He knows who we've been, who we are, and who we can become - and exactly how to help us get there.

When I saw the plane pictured above, coming down the runway, I joked that it was aiming right for us. And sometimes, that's how life feels. Sometimes it feels like we're stuck, in the way, or maybe even being attacked - by the world, by others, and (if you're like me) by ourselves. But we have to remember that no matter what, if we follow God's will and His Plan, we'll be blessed. He will guide us home. No one ever said the path would be easy. It's difficult, and often we have to take it on pure faith. Walking through the darkness of the world is difficult ... but He gives us the light we need. We just need to be willing to follow.

I love you all!
Also, in a few minutes, my time zone will reach 4/8/15 16:23:42. Here's a shout-out to all the Lost fans out there! (Yes, I flew in a plane on Lost day. Good thing I didn't realize that until now!)
