From Above
(Taken from the balcony of the Circle Moon Theater - home of Northwoods)
"Those were the days my friend
"Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way."
Tonight was the last performance of our Northwoods show, Those Were the Days - and it was fantastic :) We had a cast party afterwards, which explains my late hours (It was worth it!). Ah well - when it's this far into the morning, a little time on a blog doesn't seem to hurt much. I'll be exhausted tomorrow anyway. (And angry at myself for doing this, but hey!)
Northwoods was such a great experience :) Before every performance, we'd gather to hold hands as Terri said a prayer, and I could always just ... feel it. And at the end of the show, when the curtain opened for Les Mis ... that was rather indescribable :) So many great people, amazing voices, beautiful music - all reminders of how amazing God is and how blessed we are to be on this earth with the capabilities we have. I love what we do because it makes so many people happy. Seeing the audience leave with smiles on their faces is awesome.
My inspiration? Do what you love. Really. :) There are lots of things in life that just have to be done - fun or not. But don't keep yourself from spending time with things you're passionate about, too. For me, being around music so often has been great! And again - incredible people :) So very grateful. Also - never turn down the urge to help someone else. Great things come from obeying promptings.
