From Down Low
A cave :) A literal light at the end of the tunnel.
Today in Sacrament Meeting, a speaker (Brother Sam Carey) talked about tunnels. On his mission, he and his companion came to one that was so dark, flashlights just wouldn't cut it. He said, "We decided that the key was to walk in the light ... because with that, you can feel the Spirit of the Lord with you - when you're walking in the light."
It's necessary, he said, and he gave three main suggestions for walking in the light:
- Get up in the morning and talk to God. He's your Father. He always wants to hear, and having a personal relationship with Him is vital.
- Read the scriptures - I know, both of these are pretty typical answers, but ... so important. Everything is in the scriptures. Search, ponder, and pray.
- Reach out to someone in need - even when it's hard for you. And I'll add - especially then. Serving others is a fantastic way to see where you are in life, who you need to be, and how it is to be truly Christlike. Charity never faileth :)
