K is for Keys

We all have a  key ring that holds the magic of our lives. Many of the keys are personal and only significant to us, but that's how it should be :) We have hopes, dreams, plans for the future, ways to make those things happen, and the people who help us on our way. I know my own ring is pretty full - which is to be expected, I think, when you know what's important to you. Your keys are the things that get you through life. They open up the doors that keep you going - aid you in both mortal and eternal progress, and happiness.

For me, there are spiritual keys - like the gospel, prayer, scriptures, meditation. And then, so many other keys, like writing - that's my sanity. :) Horseback riding, music (singing and listening), dancing ... and all of the little things too - like a really beautiful sunset, or a hug on a bad day. A key can be just about anything - as long as it means something to you.

You never know what might be a key for someone else - that's the magic of it all. Any day, you could provide a key without even knowing it. So just watch - look around you. Especially with the people you love. What are their keys? What gets them through? And what might be a key that they haven't found yet, that maybe you could share?

And what are your keys? What brings you peace when the storm is raging? What helps you feel okay again when all seems lost? That's something everyone should know. Because once you have those keys, you can use them to unlock the doors of trials and other roadblocks - and then press on, always forward :)
